i was just talking about the hand-operated pop-up headlights of the Opel GT a few days ago ( !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ). little did i know i would, in fact, be experiencing the Opel headlights firsthand. Yesterday, i got to operate the headlights in this little bad boy pictured above.

the owner was very nice when i asked her about her GT and she offered to let me give them a try. they are really fun.

she told me she bought the car about a year ago because she wanted a small, classic European sports car. since the Ferrari Dino was out of financial reach, she picked up this Opel GT. i asked if she works on it herself and she said her husband/boyfriend has been helping her to get it running (that's his ride next to the Opel). she's planning on working on it and making it pretty.
